SELECT THEATRE CREDITS:

Orlando (Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre)

Orlando: an adaption of Virginia Woolf's classic, adapted for the stage by Sarah Ruhl.

The RMTC production worked with Ruhl to revise the script further, and to bring it closer to balance with the deeper understanding of its themes that we had in 2021.

To get very personal for a moment: Orlando was the first gender-bending character I've played. As a genderfluid person, it is the closest I have ever come to seeing someone like me (both male and female) on stage, screen, or page. It ended up being an emotional, difficult, and beautiful experience.

I can't express how grateful I am to the cast and crew - the most 2SNT (2-Spirit, Nonbinary &/or Trans) cast and crew I have ever worked with - for seeing each of us for who we are, and trusting us with the show.

Orlando would say "What is life?" I'm still working that one out.
